GE Aviation’s H80 Turboprop Engine Gains Its Russian Type Certification

EVENDALE, OHIO – October 8, 2012 –GE Aviation’s H80 turboprop engine has received type certification from the Interstate Aviation Committee Aviation Register (IAC AR). The Russian agency issued the type certificate on September 24, 2012.

GE Aviation Launches Two New H80 Turboprop Engine Derivatives

OSHKOSH, WI – July 23, 2012 – GE Aviation is launching two derivative engines of its recently certified H80 engine: the H75 and H85 turboprop engines.
The H75 engine will be rated at 750 shaft horsepower (shp) for takeoff and maximum continuous operation, and the H85 engine will be rated at 850 shp.  Like the H80, the H75 and H85 engines will be aimed at the agricultural, commuter, utility and business turboprop aircraft segments.

U.S. FAA Certified GE Aviation’s H80 Turboprop Engine

EVENDALE, OHIO – March 14, 2012 – The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved type certification for GE Aviation’s H80 turboprop engine. The US FAA engine certification follows similar certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) that the engine received in December.

Aeromecanic Named Authorized Service Center for GE\'s M601 and H80 Engines

EVENDALE, OHIO – March 1, 2012 – GE Aviation and Aeromecanic have signed an agreement for Aeromecanic to become an Authorized Service Center for the M601 and H80 turboprop engines. As an Authorized Service Center, Aeromecanic will offer comprehensive line maintenance, removals and re-installations of engines and LRU, on-wing heavy repairs and manage a pool of spare/rental engines for the Western Europe and North Africa region. GE Aviation will provide AEROMECANIC with comprehensive material support and training.

AIR-TEC Named Authorized Service Center for GE's M601 and H80 Engines

EVENDALE, OHIO – January 10, 2012 – AIR-TEC Aviation Maintenance has signed an agreement with GE Aviation to become an Authorized Service Center for the M601 and H80 turboprop engines. As part of the agreement, AIR-TEC will offer comprehensive line maintenance, removals and re-installations of engines and LRUs and engine spares for the M601 and H80 engine families. In addition, AIR-TEC will provide some on-wing heavy repairs and manage a pool of spare / rental engines for the African region. GE Aviation will provide AIR-TEC with comprehensive material support and training.

GE Aviation’s H80 Turboprop Engine Received EASA Engine Certification

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC -- December 13, 2011 – GE Aviation’s H80 turboprop engine has received type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) during a celebration in Prague in the Czech Republic. This is the first GE Aviation engine to receive its initial type certification from EASA.

GE’s H80 Turboprop Engines Complete First Test Flight on Aircraft Industries L410


KUNOVICE, CZECH REPUBLIC -- November 21, 2011—Aircraft Industries has completed the first flight test of the L410-UVP-E20 powered by two of GE’s H80 turboprop engines. The 40-minute flight occurred in Kunovice in the Czech Republic on November 16.
